Compressive Test Investigation and Numerical Simulation of Polyvinyl-Alcohol (PVA)-Fiber-Reinforced Rubber Concrete

To investigate the mechanical properties of polyvinyl-alcohol (PVA)-fiber-reinforced rubber concrete, 13 groups PVA rubber/concrete specimens with volume fractions 0%, 0.5 vol%, 1.0 and 1.5 vol% particles replacement sand ratios 10%, 20%, 30% were prepared, uniaxial compression full curve test was performed. The findings indicate that bridging effect PVA, as well synergistic particles, can improve compressive failure demonstrates obvious ductile characteristics. Furthermore, has a better impact on concrete’s bearing capacity, crack propagation surface, strength in latter stages. PVA-fiber-reinforced concrete is thought to be six-phase composite made up aggregate phase, mortar matrix, fiber, aggregate–mortar interface, rubber–mortar interface mesoscale. simulate entire process varying rubber/content from integrity damage cracking, meso-numerical model constructed. simulation results are good agreement, demonstrating validity mesomodel offering theoretical foundation for structural analysis design this type concrete.
